I've used a number of Epson inkjets over the years, but I get hacked off with all the waste of ink. I'm 'quite happy' with the output, but there's so much more on offer these days.
My trusty 640 is less trusty than it was, and whether I use original or cheapo cartridges it needs cleaning more and more to get good results. I do a fair amount of full (solid) colour photo/other prints as well as lots of straight text stuff.
I've used so many 3 colour cartridges (actually only one colour used) I thought why not look at Canon. Those handy little single cartridges are cheap and efficient (please argue).
I'm considering a Canon Smartbase MP700 (All in one scan copy print but without fax - dead form of communication) - best price dabbs at £215 - but are they all they're cracked up to be? Will I find the space saving nirvana this way?
What's the competition for borderless printing efficient (cheaper?) inks, yet great speed and of course fine droplet quality images.
I've been going nuts trying to get an objective view - will I get one here?
