My Kodak 5100 All in One suddenly began printing as if there were no ink in the cartridges. I knew the color cartridge was just about out, so I changed it. That didn't work.

So I cleaned and calibrated. That didn't work.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the software and firmware. That didn't work.

So I hooked up an HP Deskjet 930c (old) and tried printing to that. Suddenly, a printer that once worked fine was printing as if it had low or no ink in both B&W and color cartridges. Just like the Kodak.

So I tried troubleshooting, cleaning, calibrating, reinstalling, etc. Nothing works.

Why would two different printers suddenly manifest the same problem? I've been through their properties and everything is set up correctly.

My only clue: I went to the Coricidin website to print a coupon, and that's when it startted. Has something attacked my PC?

May be it's the software you were using. If it was set to draft or poor quality printing - no matter what printer you'd hook up, the print results would be the same.
