before i ask my question, heres a thought: why are all the tech support questions about cannon? :-? anyway, a friend of mine was cleaning up his printer (i think he has a cannon bjc 5000) and he took it apart (amoung other thing, but lets not get into that). he was wondering if he could lubricate it with vaseline... so should i tell him hes an idiot or tell him that he can feel free to use vaseline? im looking for a prompt reply (use anything you want. i posted my email and msn or you could reply here or private message me). thanx.

8) My experience : If you use vaseline it attracts dust and make a kind of melting and the head has a hard time to move.

Better use some kind of "dry lubrificant"
