About a week ago I first received a message K drum (Black) life meaning the "we exceeded the average life of the drum" I have the same message for the other colors.
When I turned on the printer the other day I now get "replace image drum 563:K".
The online lite is off so it will not print. I replaced the drum but same error. I wrote Okidata and they said they would send a replacement drum.
Later, searching the net I found a company (printerdoctor) that now sells refill toner & chips for the toner cartridge, and xtralife kits (replacement fuse)for the drum. They say there is a fuse in the drum that causes blows and requires you to replace the drum. However, they say the starter drum shipped with the printer does not have the fuse.
My question what then causes the drum failure error in the starter drum. I wrote but no reply.
I took the starter drum apart to see how easy it was to replace the fuse and sure enough it does not have a fuse. Now I get a replace toner cartridge sensor error 543 when I put the starter drum back in the machine.
I ordered the fuse but I feel something else is wrong.

Anyone have any experience with this model?
