Hi,
I've had this Canon 4300 desk jet for several years and it has been a reliable workhorse. Recently it stopped working and gave off the error beeps that usually have meant that the cartidge head unit that houses the print cartidges is worn out and needs to be replaced. I did this and the error doesn't go away. It does 5 beeps which when I researched indicated an cartridge detection error.
There is a copper foil piece attached to the printer that this cartridge seats against and I am wondering if it is worn out after all these years. I tred cleaning it and nno change. It is a small part but it isn't obvious how it would be replaced and I can't find a source for the part, if this is the problem.
Any help would be appreciated.
