My Brother HL-4040CN is practically brand new but I have noticed that documents containing cyan (blue) elements have vertical banding. If I were to print a sheet of solid cyan, there would be vertical alternating areas of dark and light cyan, somewhat resembling a barcode. The darker bands appear to have the correct saturation of color.

Both solutions suggested in official documentation (namely cleaning the scanner window and cleaning the corona wires) have not helped at all. The bands have not even shifted their positions since trying these solutions.

Magenta is also exhibiting a similar problem but not as noticeably. It's possible that the yellow output has the same issue but may be hard to see because the paper being printed on is white.

This banding can be seen on the rollers of both color's (cyan's and magenta's) toner cartridges (again, more noticeably on the cyan's roller). I would have wished to have simply wiped those rollers with a cloth to see if that would have helped but the documentation prohibits me from touching them.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
