I am trying to buy a toner cartridge for my HP IIP Laserjet. The original HP replacement part number for that cartridge is 922575A. These cartridges are quite expensive though. I have seen on the websites of aftermarket sellers lists showing various printers which are compatible with that cartridge (e.g. Apple Personal Laser Writer,Brother HL 4,Canon LBP 4, QMS PS 410). I believe these printers all have the same Canon printer engine.
Canon makes also LaserFax machines and the genuine Canon FX-1 replacement cartridges for these look the same as the HP922575A (as much as I can make out from my internet searches). Canon FX-1 cartridges are considerably cheaper than the HP75A on eBay. I think this is because Canon laser fax machines are much less common than HP laserjets IIP / IIIP .
Does anybody know for sure if a Canon FX-1 cartridge is fully compatible with a HP IIP Laserjet??

Hi

Actualy FX-1 cartridges are slightly differents from IIP. There is level control on hte FX-1 that don't have the IIP. So use any IIP that are from good manufacture

You will find that the FX-1 will go in the same printers which accept the HP92275A, but the HP92275A won't fit in machines which accept the FX-1 due to a small notch in the bottom.

If you are still interested in the HP-922575A toner cartridges, I have two new genuine cartridges in their boxes, for sale at a real fair price. Get back to me if I can help.
