Hello
I have the hp officejet d145. This printer has a gauge which tells me when I'm out of ink. The gauge finally went down to zero on the color ink. I stuck a pin down the top into the cartridge ( similar to checking oil in a car) and the pin showed that the cartridge was half full for all 3 colors. Is there some reason why I should still get a new ink cartridge? For example will the pin still show that it has ink even when the cartridge is empty.

This cartridge has a dated and programmed chip which disables itself regardless.try the link below, they refill and reset most cartridges
