My HP IIP is producing perfect test pages (i.e. generated by pushing button on panel on the printer front) but it only prints a single line of garbled stuff when I try to print from my computer using Windows 98SE.
I have reloaded the driver several times from my Windows CD and no problem printing with a HP IIIP (which is very similar to IIP).....

Hi
You have to "delete" IIIP and reinstall IIP

Thanks John:
Maybe I expressed myself a little vaguely - I have several printers installed on my Windows 98SE Control Panel and of course select the IIP as default printer when I am testing it...
I just mentioned the IIIP because I have no trouble running it as default printer....
I don't think having several printers on Control Panel installed is a problem, i.e. I should not have to delete the other printers, as long as I select the correct default printer
