Epson 1280 red stripes

Epson 1280
I am getting intermitent horizontal red ink stripes. They sometimes stop after printing 10 or so pages.
Is it the print head?...if so what do I do??

Before printing do a head cleaning with the driver it should solve the problem

I have performed head cleaning within the printer utility options. Did not fix.
What do you mean "with the driver"?
