Hello,
I am facing this problem with a Canon printer I bought, It is a Canon BJC-2100, it seemed to be a good choice for the home PC, cheap, ok speed, and not-so-expensive ink cartridges.
However, a few months ago the printer died on me for no reason. I have installed XP on both my laptop and desktop, they both detect it via its Parallel port, and they automatically install the driver. The printer's head move around a bit (as it should) when you plug in the power.. but that is about it.. when you send a print job, the printer remains idle and then the PC gives a message saying that the printer is not responding.. anyone faced a similar problem? I thought a USB cable will help, but alas.. it was just a waste of extra $5.. So my question is, do you have any idea what this could be? or should I just throw it out?
Thanks,
-Tig
