Printer Problem Canon i350

Hi,
I have a Canon i350 printer.It worked fine for about a year. I have refilled the cartridges 5 or 6 times with no problem. Lately when I power it on I get 8 flashing orange blinks followed by 1 green, then the orange again etc. When I push the resume button it turns to green and stays green, but when I try to print a message window pops up telling me the printhead is not installed, install printhead and push OK. But the printhead is installed, I have tried reinstalling the printhead but gets the same message.Also in the printer status monitor(window) under the printer icon, instead of showing the cartridges with their ink levels, is the words No. Please do someone have any suggestions what this problem might be. Thanks
